Hi all, just a quick note that starting with this morning's batch of Steam Deck order invites, we've increased the number of emails we're sending out (again). We're excited to get more of these into your hands!
(Order emails are sent out Monday and Thursday mornings PT)
Steam Deck is coming to new regions! Starting today you can reserve a Steam Deck in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, with the help of Komodo, Steam Deck's authorized reseller in those regions: store.steampowered.com/news/…
Reserve yours now at steamdeck.komodo.jp
If you reserve in these new regions you'll be able to order your Steam Deck later this year. The Komodo reservation queue is separate from the reservation queue in NA / UK / EU regions, so people who have already reserved won't see any impact on their current shipping estimates.
We love seeing what games folks play on Steam Deck vs Desktop - for example, these are are the top 10 titles of the past week on Deck!
MultiVersus
Vampire Survivors
Stray
ELDEN RING
No Man's Sky
Hades
Stardew Valley
Grand Theft Auto V
Aperture Desk Job
MONSTER HUNTER RISE
Hello! SteamOS 3.3 and a bunch of Steam Client updates are out of beta and have been shipped to all Steam Decks. This update includes improvements to game mode, desktop mode, docked mode, audio, stability, and more.
See the full list of patch notes at: steamdeck.com/en/news
Great news: Everyone who currently has a reservation can get their Steam Deck by the end of this year! We’ve cleared up supply chain issues, a bunch of folks got moved up to Q3, and all other reservations are now in Q4.
More details here:
store.steampowered.com/news/…
One more point of clarity - no reservations were moved from the Q3 window to the Q4 window. The only movement was from the 'After Q3' window to either Q3 or Q4.
Look at that shiny new check mark on our @Steam page!
That's right; Escape Academy is now @OnDeck verified.
Play Escape Academy while at an IRL escape room! Or an IRL academy. The possibilities are endless.
For our friends in the midst of a heatwave, a quick note about Steam Deck in high temperatures. Steam Deck performs at its best in ambient temperatures between 0° and 35° C. If the temperature gets higher than this, Steam Deck may start to throttle performance to protect itself.
A bit more detail about this – Steam Deck’s APU runs well at temperatures up to 100°C. At 100°C, it will start to throttle performance, and at 105°C it will shut down. Again, this is to protect itself (and you) from damage.
Even with a broken ship, you can still go @OnDeck! Time on Frog Island is #SteamDeck verified! ❤️
Take the froggy adventure on the go! 🐸🏝️
If you haven't hopped in, the 20% launch discount is still available for a few more hours! 👀
